To expand the horizons of applied ethics—including artificial intelligence ethics—and to support international academic exchange for our members, the Korean Society for Artificial Intelligence Ethics (KSAIE), in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Ethics at Soochow University, China, is pleased to host The 1st Korea-China Academic Forum on Applied Ethics and invite your participation.

This academic conference is set to become an annual international forum hosted alternately by Korea and China to promote the sustainable development of applied ethics in both nations. Starting with this inaugural conference at Soochow University in China, the 2nd forum will be hosted in Korea next year.

We welcome the participation of researchers and members from various affiliated academic organizations across all fields of applied ethics, including AI ethics, bioethics, environmental ethics, and information ethics. We look forward to your strong interest and active involvement.

    • Oct 19: Arrival of the Korean delegation & Registration
    • Oct 20 – Oct 21 (Morning): Main Academic Sessions (Presentations & Discussions)
    • Oct 21 (Afternoon) – Oct 22: Local Academic & Cultural Excursions
    • Oct 23: Departure / Return to Korea

Participation Details & Support

  • Delegation Size: Approx. 15–20 participants from Korea
  • Registration Fee: $600 USD per person (Round-trip airfare is not included and must be arranged individually.)
  • Inclusions: All local expenses in China (airport pick-up, accommodation, meals, and local excursion expenses).

The Korean Society for AI Ethics (KSAIE) is an independent organization and an international platform for researchers and practitioners interested in ethical issues related to artificial intelligence and the wider field of applied ethics. KSAIE supports academic teaching, research, discussion, and new collaborations across borders.
